I’m not an expert on rheumatoid arthritis so I can’t give you much information there, but make sure that you also get screened for celiac disease. It’s not uncommon among people with rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. It’s very common among the general population (about 1 in 133 people have it) and the number is higher than that among people with another autoimmune disease. The symptoms can overlap (you can have aches and pains, swelling, and fatigue with celiac disease too), so diagnosis can be hard. Make sure your doctor looks into it as well.

GenericsWeb Exposes Differences Between Abatacept Generic Launch Contraints in EU and US, and Highlights the Need for an Established Route for Biogenerics

Jun 8, 2012   //   by   //   Blog  //  No Comments

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) March 9, 2010

GenericsWeb, the leader in established pharmaceutical patent analysis and searching, recently published an article that analysed opportunities in launching a generic version of Abatacept. Based on its proprietary Pipeline Patent Intelligence GenericsWeb reveals that the lack of a legislated approval route and data exclusivity period for biogenerics in the US leaves generic developers of Abatacept products wondering how and when they may file for FDA approval of a biogeneric, and when they might expect to be in a position to launch. This is contrasted with the position in the EU where the regulatory pathway and data exclusivity protection is clear, but the Orencia indications are protected by much later ‘use’ patents, whose expiry is not uniform across the region due to the sporadic use of SPC extensions in some member states.

Question by NobodyKnowsMe: I need advice for my brother who has Psoriatic arthritis.. help appreciated?
My father told me he was diagnosed recently with it, after having the skin desease that occurs before the arthritis usually. This is a recent messege i’ve sent to him over myspace with a responce. And any advice you have that i can give to him is greatly appreciated. This is a serious illness. It can be life altering for him, he’s got a wife and two children, he’s 29. So i’d love it if somehow i could help him using your advice. I have already prayed for him.

If he has psoriatic arthritis, it’s very important that he be treated soon, to avoid permanent destructive joint changes. There are some excellent new drugs on the market, called biologics, that stop the destruction of the joints (such as Enbrel, Humira, Remicade, and even newer ones in the past few months). Not only will these control the arthritis, but they will clear the psoriasis too. Have him see either his dermatologist or his rheumatologist soon.

Question by : I can’t take the pain anymore I have psoriasis, psoratic arthritis, and osteoarthritis I need relief NOW.?
I am only 26 and a mother of three mall children and my pain levels are through the roof. It seems no matter what the Dr’s suggest nothing is working yet. I can barely get out of bed in the mornings and I can’t sleep at night because of the pain. I’m having trouble even lifting my one year old this is getting ridiculous I just can’t stand it anymore. I am currently on 100 mg of enbrel a week 10 mg of methotrexate, 200 mg of ultram, 5 of cyclobenzabrine, folic acid ,plus a few other meds for other conditions yet no relief. I need help fast I feel like I;m going off the deep end.
i have not been checked for fibromyalgia. My current GP doesn’t want to send my to a pain management specialist because of my age. I’m already taking an antidepressant Zoloft and the last time I went to the Dr he suggested trying Ambien if my sleeping doesn’t get any better. I know my babies need me they are the only reason I’m still fighting this crap.
